Playing With Fabric

I signed up to participate in a bookmark swap recently. My partner likes pink and green and all things shabby. As you know, this is not my comfort zone so I thought it would be fun to step outside of my norm and do a little something that would force me to try new things.

I started off with some shabby looking fabric from my stash of fabric sample book pages. Then I added a piece of eyelet lace and three coordinating buttons. From there I used that same shabby fabric and some off white lace to add the little tails to the top. Last, I stitched some hearts onto some burlap type material and stitched those onto the front. I think it's kinda sweet! I hope my partner enjoys it and it was fun trying something new!

Much Needed Down Time

I took this evening to just relax. I got in my comfy clothes, curled up in front of the tv and have been playing in my art journal while I catch up on some recorded shows. Ahhhhhhhhh.......

ADO Wonderland Blog Event and a Giveaway!

Oh no! I'm very very late indeed. I had such grand plans for this event! 5 figures in the plans and then, well, life got in the way. It has been so busy around here and I haven't had very many moments to create.....With the kids home for summer break, working round the clock to get workshops up on the new site and keeping up with orders, I have been running like mad lately. I did however, make one of the 5 figures planned. I know some of you have seen him before, but I'm afraid this will have to do. So, without further ado.....ahem...

I give you.... The Mad Hatter.....

He is a tiny Hatter....measrung in at only 5 inches tall. He's wood and Paperclay mixed media.

This Mad Hatter has already sold.

So, because I feel bad that I didn't finish the others, I decided I'd host a giveaway!!!! It's a really cool one too!

First the rules:

1. You must leave a comment on this post.

2. You must provide a way for me to reach you should you win.

3. You must post on your blog about this giveaway and include the link in your comment here.

4. You must be a follower of this blog.

That's it! Now.... here's the giveaway!!!!

Run! Spread the word, leave a comment with a link to your blog post!

I will draw a winner on July 17th!!!!! International entries are accepted!

Hatter Hugs,

A New Look

I spent some time playing around with the design of my blog today. I quite like it. I wish I could tweak it some more but just the bit that I did gave me a headache, so I think I'll just leave it be. I wish I had more to share but I've been working pretty heavily on designing another website and haven't any 3D creations to share.

How are all of you? Anything new and/or exciting going on in your neck of the woods? What are you busy with these days?
