Okay, so I went to the post office today to mail out the last 2 giveaways and some orders. One of the books I just gave away was won by a lady in the UK. To send her the book cost me $11.00! Holy cow! So, unfortunately, I'm going to have to restrict all future giveaways to USA residents. I'm really disappointed that I have to do this but man! Postage is getting ridiculous.

Okay, I have to get back to work.

Just a note.... the other 4 giveaways I have planned will be put on hold momentarily. I'm having some oral surgery on Friday and don't think I'll be feeling up to playing online for a bit after. So, I'm going off line for just a bit.

I feel your pain BOTH of them. Good luck with the surgery!

A non-US resident wanted to purchase some of the mini furniture I have for sale and shipping was going to be $14.00 first class so she declined, can't say I blame her. Highway robbery!

Canada Post is even more expensive than USPS. However, mailing to the US from Canada and to Canada from the US is actually quite cheap if you use First Class Mail International. Sending outside of North America though? Ridiculous!

Yes postage costs are getting seriously ridiculous. I have to cut down on mailing things out too. I feel your pain. Good luck with your surgery.

I'm used to it, living in Australia and having most of my sales in other countries. To post a smallish doll that does not weigh much can cost between $25 and $50 depending on the box size - I usually carry a substantial portion of the cost rather than hitting the customer with the lot! I average around $300 a month on postage hurts, but what can you do? And postage charges NEVER go down!

I have a note in my Etsy posts that customers need to e-mail me for prices to their individual countries. It's impossible to give a generic quote on shipping.

Maybe due to escalating shipping cost we will have to restrict our gifts to flat paper works which can be just as exciting to receive. I love your giving spirit. Imagine and Live in Peace, Mary Helen Fernandez Stewart
