THE GIVEAWAY IS NOW CLOSED. NO MORE ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED.TWO WINNERS WILL BE DRAWN AND ANNOUNCED THE AFTERNOON OF
FEBRUARY 15th. GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE WHO HAS ENTERED!
Welcome, welcome! Thanks so much for stopping by my little corner of
Blogland. Some of you are frequent visitors and know me pretty well by now but for those of you who are here for the first time, hello! My name is
Moriah Betterly and I sell my works under the name
MLB Studios mostly on Etsy. I started making art dolls in 2006 and then veered off course and focused on dollhouse miniatures for 2 years. Now I'm back to art dolls because I haven't found anything else that makes me happier!
All of my dolls are 100% original and sculpted by me without the use of molds. I work in polymer, paper and air dry clays. All of the costuming is usually sewn by hand although for larger dolls I will use the sewing machine for parts of the
costuming process.
Besides making art dolls, I also
create mixed media paintings, dollhouse miniatures and a stuffy here and there. In whatever spare time I can muster I create video tutorials which I share on
YouTube and this blog from time to time.
I live in sunny Florida with my awesome husband and 3 beautiful, wonderfully talented children.
Whew....now that we've gotten that out of the way, let's get to the good stuff, shall we?
Lisa Swifka of
awhimsicalbohemian.typepad.com has hosted One World One Heart Blog Events for the past 4 years. The goal is for
bloggers to meet one another and form friendships. The icing on the cake is that everyone who participates in the event hosts a giveaway on their blog!
Whoo hoo! So, without further ado.... the giveaway....
Introducing Clara....
Clara
Bettlmeyer is very sad. You see tonight is the big homecoming dance. Normally Clara doesn't care about such things but this dance is special.
Beezle Bradley asked her to go with him and Clara has been in love with
Beezle ever since she first laid eyes on him in the 3rd grade!
Clara would happily suffer through a stupid dance if it meant she got to spend the evening with
Beezle. Her mom helped her make her dress and she even put on make-up which she never does!
The problem is,
Beezle never showed up to take Clara to the dance and he won't return her calls either. Poor Clara is all dressed up with nowhere to go...

Clara is 8 inches tall and is sculpted in air dry clay. She is painted with acrylics, ink, and pastels. Her costume is handsewn and her wig is made of mohair.
In Honor of reaching 200 comments, I am adding another giveaway item!!!!!!!!
A second name will be drawn on Feb 15th for this Vampire Bust. He was handsculpted by me in paperclay and painted in acyrlics..... Good Luck!

SO, HOW DO YOU WIN?????
It's really quite simple. All you have to do is leave a comment on this post before midnight EST on Feb. 14th AND leave a way to contact you should you win. A blog address or email address will suffice. Then stay tuned because on
February 15th, I'll have one of my handy dandy assistants draw a name from all of the entries.
This giveaway is open to all. It's not a requirement that you follow my blog but I hope that you will so I can visit your blogs as well.
It was a pleasure meeting you and I hope you'll come back for a visit soon!
